  • 9:00 a.m.  Southfork Ranch, 3700 Hogge Drive, at Parker Road, Allen, (972) 442-7866. 9am-5pm daily. Tours run daily every 30 minutes from 9:30am-4:30pm. $6.96 adults, $4.95 ages 4 to 12, and free for children under 4. Tourist attraction associated with the television series "Dallas." Includes access to the Lone Star Atrium and Ewing Mansion. Private event schedulig and group tours available.
  • 9:00 a.m.  Sixth Floor Museum, 411 Elm Street, Dallas County Administration Building, at Houston Street, Dallas, (214) 747-6660. 9am-6pm daily. $6 adults, $5 ages 6 to 18 and seniors, free for children under the age of 6. Add $3 for the audio tour. Located in the former Texas School Book Depository adjacent to Dealy Plaza and the tragic events of November 1963. Exhibits emphasize the life, times, death and legacy of JFK.
  • 10:00 a.m.  Tarantula Excursion Train, 707 South Main Street, at Dallas Avenue, Grapevine, (817) 624-4147. Grapevine to Stockyards; $19.95 adults, $9.95 ages 3 to 12. Departs Grapevine at 10am and departs Stockyards at 2pm every Mon-Sat. Departs Grapevine at 1pm and departs Stockyards at 4:15pm every Sun. Fort Worth excursion; $10 adults, $5.50 ages 3 to 12. Departs Stockyards at 12 noon every Mon-Sat. Departs Stockyards at 2:45pm every Sun. Restored 1896 steam engine and turn-of-the-century coaches travel between Grapevine, Fort Worth Stockyards and 8th Avenue depot. Steam engine operates Wed-Sun. Diesel engine substituted Mon-Tue. Call ahead to verify times.
  • 4:00 p.m.  Stumpy's Blues Bar, 501 East Division Street, at Collin and Cooper, Arlington, (817) 274-0406. Open daily 4pm-2am. Live blues bands perform nightly. Jukebox featuring jazz, rock, blues and alternative music between bands. Pool tables, darts and foosball also available.
  • 4:00 p.m.  Pig & Whistle Pub, 210 East 8th, at Calhoun, Fort Worth, (817) 882-9966. 4pm-2am Mon-Sat. Fort Worth venue featuring a dance floor with live music nightly at 9:30pm.
  • 6:00 p.m.  Celtic Quill, 1914 Laws Street, at Corbin Street, Dallas, (214) 720-1373. 6pm-2am Mon-Sat. Happy Hour with Red McWilliams at 5pm-9pm every Tue-Thu. Sports haven featuring Irish staples, along with burgers and sandwiches. Live Irish bands on the weekends and dart leagues compete regularly.
  • 9:00 p.m.  Trees, 2709 Elm Street, at Crowdus Street, Dallas, (214) 748-5009. 9pm-2am Tue-Sat. Ages 17 and up. Dallas rock club featuring out-of-town and local bands. Unique atmosphere with beams in the room carved to look like tree bark and autographed drum risers fill the walls.
  • 10:00 p.m.  Swank, 604 Main Street, Fort Worth, (817) 877-5233. 10pm-3am Fri-Sat. 18 and older. $3 ages 21 and up, $8 under 21. DJ spins 70's, 80's, 90's and current dance music every Fri-Sat.
